What is a Blessingway? A Blessingway is a sacred gathering inspired by Navajo tradition, adapted to honor a mother-to-be with blessings, rituals, and the love of her closest circle — rather than games and gifts.

How is it different from a baby shower? A baby shower focuses on the baby and gifts. A Blessingway focuses on the mother — her transition, her strength, and surrounding her with intention and love.

Is there a free consultation? Yes — every ceremony includes a free 30-minute call with Mar to customize the experience before booking.
Where are in-person ceremonies available? Los Angeles and Cancún, Toronto, San Diego & Tijuana (only spanish for this location), and more.

Can it be done virtually? Absolutely. With the right guidance, a virtual Blessingway can be just as meaningful. We offer virtual, in-person, and hybrid options.

What happens during a Blessingway? It varies, but common elements include: lighting candles, sharing blessings or intentions, a thread-tying ritual, music, flower crowns, belly painting, and heartfelt words for both mother and baby.

Can it be done for a second or third baby? Yes — every pregnancy is different, and every mother deserves to be honored, regardless of how many times she's done it before.

Does it have to be spiritual or religious? Not at all. Our ceremonies are neutral be as inlcusive as possible.

How long does it last? Usually between 1.5 to 2 hours.

Who facilitates it? Having someone hold the space makes all the difference. Our experienced certified guides are in many cities. Mar lives in Cancun, but is willing to travel if requested. We are all fluent in English or Spanish.

Can men attend? Yes — this is a personal choice. Both women-only circles and mixed gatherings are equally beautiful.

How is it different from a baby shower? A baby shower focuses on gifts and games. A Blessingway focuses on the mother — surrounding her with love, intention, and meaningful ritual that she will carry with her into birth and beyond.

Who facilitates it? Mar Reyes guides each ceremony personally, in English or Spanish, tailored to the mother and her circle.

What is included? Every ceremony includes a custom digital invite design, a list of birth affirmations and a playlist, and an optional pre-event call with the future mom. In-person events also include a flower crown, candles, dream catcher, altar setup with flowers, incense, quartz stones, and more. Virtual events include altar guidance and an optional self-care gift kit sent to the mama's home.
